New Jersey Engagement Session – My couples come to me for many different reason. Some really click with my personality, others find out about my work through recommendations from their friends, and at times it takes just one image that’s different from everything else to really peak their interest. Jana and Bob were the latter of the three. When we met to discuss their wedding they expressed how much they love the ring image from this wedding. That told me a lot about the both of them – that they obviously know what great photography looks like, ^.^ but also that they are really looking for something different and creative. And it makes perfect sense that Bob and Jana picked Grounds for Sculpture in Trenton, NJ as the spot for this fun and whimsical engagement session! The weather turned out so perfect and we were in and out before the crowds showed up. Here are some of my favorites from the day!
New Jersey Wedding – You may recognize this gorgeous bride from our session at The Bungalow Hotel. Michelle planned to use those images to create a “little black book” for Mark’s wedding present. When we arrived on the wedding day, she giddily expressed how much he absolutely loved the pictures and could hardly put the book down. But thats no surprise because she looked sooo stunning! As you can see, she looks just as beautiful in her wedding dress and Badgley Mischkas!!
Michelle and Mark are a couple that compliment each other so well. He is laid back, easy going, and quiet while she is the outgoing friendly, and sometimes loud kind of girl. ^.^ But when you put them together something magical happens. Their love for each other is palpable for anyone around them to see. We totally felt it and are so lucky to have been a part of their special day. Thanks Michelle and Mark for having us!
Michael and I wanted to do something a little different for today’s sneak peek. I have been wanting to experiment with stop motion films for a while now and Bob and Jana’s engagement session turned out the be the ideal time to try it out. We had a really fun, fabulous session with these two and can’t wait to share more photos, but until then enjoy a peek into our Sunday morning with them!
I happen to ADORE the look of dandelions….. I find them so cute and delicate. I even declared to Michael today on our ride back that I wouldn’t mind having a yard full of them and don’t really understand why they are so misunderstood. So, I really want to give a shout out to Bob and thank him for being such a great sport. Bob actually just spent a lot of time and effort completely redoing his yard and replanting his lawn from scratch to assure it had ZERO dandelions! So after this sequence was over we all had to double and triple check all seeds were removes from his clothes. Hope we were successful!! ^.^
New Jersey Wedding- The weather forecast predicted snow, rain, sleet… pretty much the exact opposite you would want for wedding images by the beach. Leading up to the day, I was already planning for Plan B ,C and D since the forecast was so gloomy… However, as if by miracle, that Saturday morning I woke up with birds chirping and sunlight shining through the windows and that set the tone for the beautiful intimate wedding of this lovely couple. When Lynn and Joe first contacted me about documenting their special day, they expressed how much they wanted to take photos on the beach… so much in fact that they set aside 2 hours solely for that purpose. When, I heard that I knew this couple was just plain awesome! What else could I ask for as a wedding photographer but to have lots of time to have fun alone with my couples and shoot away at such a beautiful location?? Especially when they are as in love as Lynn and Joe are. I am truly honored that they asked Michael and I to be a part of their wedding!
Did I mention that Lynn planned the whole wedding in less than 3 weeks?? And all without the help of David Tutera! ^.^ Everything turned out perfect and I was super impressed by her planning skills!
They love the beach so much, they chose Spring Lake for their bride and groom photos.
I wasn’t exaggerating when I said turned out to be perfect weather for beach photos! One of my favorites! ^.^
This is Michael’s angle. Just love it!
I loved her dress so much! I have a soft spot for tulle. What can I say?I am not condoning smoking by posting this… ^.^ Joe actually requested a photo of him smoking because he wanted to document his last cigarette before embarking in a healthier lifestyle for his new bride. How romantic AND health-conscious! While I was shooting the couple, Michael got this awesome shot of her shoes!Congrats to Lynn and Joe!
